We’re celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day a little early this year with a mood board inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year- Greenery.
Greenery is the perfect color to transition your home decor into the spring season. By swapping out inexpensive items like pillows, throws, baskets, trays, etc. you can easily incorporate this fun, zesty color without going overboard.
Mix different tones and shades of green to help create interest and add sophistication to your look. Layering in different tones is especially important when you’re working with a vibrant color so your decor doesn’t end up looking too juvenile or overly trendy.
RUG & SOFA
We typically recommend sticking with classic, neutral furniture for your long term investment pieces. By keeping furnishings like rugs and sofas classic and simple they can easily work with a variety of colors and trends throughout the years.
CONSOLE & COFFEE TABLE
Light wood with black accents adds the perfect amount of contrast. The lighter wood tones offer a subtle yet updated look and blend nicely with all different shades of green.
We found this great piece of artwork at Pottery Barn and used it as the inspiration piece for the mood board. We loved that it had just a hint of green while still having multiple shades from lime to darker teal. The color scheme also brought in some deep navy and neutral colors which are ideal for a piece that you don’t plant to replace every time you switch up your accessories.
As usual, we found lots of fun prints and patterns on Etsy and Joss and Main. The botanical print is a hot pattern that’s popping up everywhere right now.
